Client Background
A construction and mining contractor based in West Africa (serving the Cotonou / Lome corridor) contacted us to expand their fleet for earthmoving and aggregate transport on unpaved job sites.
Customer Requirement
Payload: 30–40 tons per trip
Terrain: Rough, muddy roads during rainy season
Preference: Proven durability, easy local parts availability, LHD configuration
Budget-conscious but required new / export-standard condition
Our Solution – SINOTRUK HOWO 8×4 Dump Truck
We recommended the SINOTRUK HOWO 8×4 Tipper Truck with the following spec:
Engine: Weichai WP10.380E2 / 371–400HP optional, high low-end torque
Drive: 8×4 (12 wheels), LHD, reinforced double-layer frame
Transmission: HW19710, 10-speed manual
Cargo Body: High-tensile steel U-shape tipper, 20–25 CBM, strengthened bottom & side plates
Axles: HC16 rear axles with differential lock
Tires: 12.00R20 radial, mining pattern
Cab: Air-suspended driver seat, A/C, sleeper berth
Outcome
After video inspection and PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), the client confirmed the order. The truck was shipped via breakbulk / Ro-Ro to Cotonou Port, cleared smoothly, and is now in active operation on local quarry and road construction sites. The client reported stable performance under full load, faster unloading cycle, and lower downtime vs previous fleet, and has since placed repeat inquiries for additional units.
